RELIGIOUS FIGURES PAY RESPECT TO AZERBAIJANI NATIONAL LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV

Baku, November 5 (AzerTAc). Participants of the Baku conference entitled “Interreligious dialogue: from mutual understanding towards joint cooperation”, including Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Clerical Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, chief of Azerbaijan`s State Committee for work with Religious Associations, Hidayat Orujov, and Belarus Patriarch Filaret have today visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev.
They also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
They then proceeded to the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate heroes of Azerbaijan who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity. They laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument here.
