BAKU HOSTS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON “PROSPECTS FOR PEACEFUL USES OF NUCLEAR ENERGY”
Baku, 4 October (AzerTAc). An international conference entitled “Prospects for peaceful uses of nuclear energy” has kicked off in Azerbaijan`s capital, bringing together experts from various countries, including Turkey, Germany and Romania as well as officials of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The 3-day event marks the 40th anniversary of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
Speakers at the event included ANAS president academician Mahmud Karimov, Director of the Institute Adil Garibov, academician Akif Hajiyev and IAEA expert Maria Luisa Soares Botelho.
