Iran Nat’l Olympic Committee chief, Vietnamese official confer

– Secretary General of Iran's National Olympic Committee Bahram Afsharzadeh held talks with Vietnam's Deputy Foreign Minister Ziya Khin here on Monday evening.

The two officials explored ways of expanding mutual sports ties in the meeting.

Vietnamese official hailed the presence of Asian countries in the third Asian Indoor Games which is currently underway in two major cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Head of Iran’s Physical Education Organization Ali Saeedlu will travel to Vietnam November 3 to convey the message of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Minh Triet.

The Iranian official is also to hold talks with Vietnamese officials and get acquainted with the structure and system of sporting activities in that country.

A delegation from Islamic Republic of Iran is taking part in the contest.

The Asian Indoor Games opened in Vietnam on November 1 and will work until November 11.
