AZERI PARLIAMENT`s SPEAKER MEETS MAYOR OF YALTA

Baku, November 2, (AzerTAc). Speaker of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov met Mayor of Yalta Sergey Brayko on Monday.
Asadov stressed the importance of the document to establish sister city relations between Yalta and Khachmaz. He added “such cooperation contributes to deepening relationship between different regions of our countries even more”.
Asadov also praised the current level of relationship between Azerbaijan and Ukraine saying it reached the level of strategic partnership after the two countries regained independence. Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine attach significant importance to strengthening bilateral ties, he stressed.
Touching upon relations between the two countries` parliaments, the speaker hailed the fact that working groups on interparliamentary ties exist in both legislative bodies. It is important in terms of exchanging information and experience, he added. “Our parliamentarians are fruitfully cooperating within international and regional organizations including GUAM”.
Sergey Brayko in turn, expressed his satisfaction with the meetings he held during the trip. He expressed hope that cooperation between Yalta and Khachmaz would further deepen. Brayko also hailed the progress he witnessed in Khachmaz.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Ukraine Talat Aliyev was present in the meeting.
