Copper Gong Recognised as Guinness Record in Vietnam
Quang Nam (VNA) – A copper gong made by an artisan in Dien Ban district, Quang
Nam province, has been recognised as a Guinness Record in Vietnam for being the
biggest gong.
The gong, 2.5m in diameter and 700 kg in weight, is now in the Dong Xanh (Green
Field) Cultural Park in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai , where
the first International Gong Festival will be held this month.
The Vietnamese Guinness Record Centre will grant the record a certificate and cup to
the gong’s owner, Duong Ngoc Truyen, on November 13.-Enditem
