BAKU HOSTS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ROLE OF ICT IN DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH
Baku, November 2 (AzerTAc). The two-day international conference “Digital Age and New Generation: ICT Role in Strengthening Capabilities and Capacities of Youth” has kicked off in the Azeri capital, bringing together about 100 young experts from the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and European countries, representatives of ICT companies, scientific institutions and NGOs.
The conference is co-organized by the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYFDC) and Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies in partnership with TurkTelekom.
The opening ceremony was addressed by ICYFDC secretary Elshad Isgandarov, Azerbaijan`s ICT Minister Ali Abbasov and Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov, and Executive Committee Chairman of TurkTelecom Paul Doani.
ICYFDC Coordinator Leyla Aliyeva made a speech at the event, praising the importance of capacity and capability exchange between the world youth.
“Justice for Khojaly” campaign initiated by Leyla Aliyeva will be launched at a plenary meeting of the conference, and the participants will also adopt a Baku declaration.
