AZERBAIJAN, CZECHIA SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENT

Baku, 31 October (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani minister for economic development Shahin Mustafayev and Czech ambassador to Baku Radek Matula have signed an agreement on economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mustafayev said Azerbaijan and Czechia have “great” potential to further expand their relations. He expressed assurance the agreement will contribute to deepening the bilateral ties.
Mustafayev recalled President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Czechia this May, saying “effective” talks with President Vaslav Klaus opened up new opportunities for the two nations to further develop their bilateral cooperation.
The Czech ambassador said his country places a particular emphasis on relations with Azerbaijan, adding the agreement will play an “important” role in this regard.
The agreement includes setting up a joint commission on economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.
