Iran, Australia confer on agricultural cooperation

An Iranian delegation reviewed in a meeting in Australia the ways to promote bilateral cooperation in the agricultural field between Tehran and Canberra, it is reported on Saturday.

The meeting held between the Iranian delegation led by chairman of the Majlis agricultural commission Abbas Rajaei and the Australian Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Tony Burke.

The Australian side said in the meeting his country is ready to foster agricultural relations with Iran and remove any obstacles to this end.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Rajaei noted the Islamic Republic of Iran is among top ten countries in biological achievements.

He then elaborated on the latest Iranian successes in the agricultural and scientific arenas.
