Defense Min: Pak Gov’t should not permit using its soil against Iran
Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics said here Friday Pakistan’s soil is soil of an Islamic country and respectable and Pakistani nation are our brethren, yet Pak government should not permit its soil to be used against IR of Iran.
Brigadier General Ahamd Vahidi who was addressing a ceremony marking the 7th day after the martyrdom of brigadiers Shoushtari and Mohammadzadeh added, “The Islamic Republic of Iran seeks its security in the hearts of the people.”
He reiterated, “People’s trust in the system and the system’s trust in the people are assuring and trust building.”
Vahidi said that the kind of security that the Islamic Republic is after takes roots in Islam’s school of thought, adding, “The people believe in (the truthfulness of) the Islamic Republic and their belief has roots in ideology, it is enthusiastic, dynamic, solidifying, and trust builder.”
Referring to the terrorist attack in Sistan-o-Balouchestan Province, he reiterated, “Martyrs Shoushtari and Mohammadzadeh sought security in the hearts of the people and in being with the people and that is the security theory in the system of the Islamic Republic.”
He added, “The Islamic Republic at the peak of the terrorists’ attacks, too, did not lose this popularity among the people and it would not ever lose it.”
Brigadier Vahidi said, “The might of the Islamic Republic was not breached with the martyrdom of Guard Corps’ commanders, and it would not be ruined with their martyrdom, since these martyred commanders despite the threats prevailing in the region sought security in promoting solidarity among regional tribes and their (martyred commander) presence there was a sign of the system’s strength.”
The Defense Minister reiterated, “The Islamic Republic Guard Cops’ (IRGC) commanders have interactions with the people and consider themselves the offspring and servants of the nation in the path they are paving self-confidently and with full belief in the righteousness of this bright path.”
Brigadier General Vahidi referring to the precious services of martyrs Shoushtari and Mohammadzadeh in Sistan-o-Balouchestan, said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran considers regional security a result of solidarity among (regional) tribes.”
Comparing Iran with its peripheral neighbors, he added, “The Iranian tribes have the highest level of interactions and they exhibit the highest index of solidarity among them which is the fruit of the life-giving Islamic school.”
Elsewhere in his address Vahidi said, “When the United States and the Zionist regime noticed they had faced defeat in the soft war they had launched against Iran they hired mercenary terrorists disguised as religious figures against the Islamic Republic.”
The Defense Minister reiterated, “The solid presence of the people at the funeral and moratoria procession and the appreciation shown for these martyrs showed that the people are still faithful to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the martyrs.”
After the Defense Minister, Martyr Shoushtari’s son Farajollah Shoushtari in a brief address emphasized the need for pursuing his martyred father’s path.
