AZERBAIJAN REMAIN AT TOP OF EUROPEAN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

Baku, October 30 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani men`s chess team have maintained their grip at the top of the European championship in Novi Sad, Serbia, after beating Poland 3-1 in the 8th round.
The round saw Azerbaijan`s Shahriyar Mammadyarov and Rauf Mammadov win Bartlomiej Macieja and Mateusz Bartel respectively.
Azerbaijan will next face Netherlands.
Meanwhile, the Azeri female players drew 2-2 with Greece.
