AZERI HUMAN RIGHTS EXPERTS PARTICIPATE IN OMBUDSMEN`s WORKSHOP
Baku, October 30 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s human rights experts have attended a workshop for ombudsmen from countries of the Eastern Partnership program in Warsaw, Poland.
Co-organized by Poland’s Ombudsman and the French Republic Mediator, the sessions focused on the analysis of the judicial and penitentiary systems, protection of human rights and the observance of principles of freedom of speech.
The goal of the Partnership project, inaugurated at an EU Summit in May, is to aid the transformation of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine and engage them with Europe in multi-lateral cooperation.
