REALIZATION OF ANY PROJECT IN REGION IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT TURKISH-AZERBAIJANI COOPERATION, PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV
Baku, 29 October (AzerTAc). Realization of any project in region is impossible without Turkish-Azerbaijani cooperation, said President Ilham Aliyev while meeting here yesterday with members of Foreign Affairs Committee of Turkey`s Grand National Assembly.
The Head of State said Turkish-Azerbaijani relations have always played “important” role either for the two nations or the region.
“As a result of joint efforts by Turkey and Azerbaijan, all initiatives to realize transport and energy projects became successful”, the Azeri leader said. He added these positive trends must be continued and strengthened in future.
The Head of State praised economic progress Azerbaijan and Turkey have achieved in last years. He expressed satisfaction with the rate of trade turnover between the two countries. The President said Azerbaijan and Turkey enjoy “successful” cultural cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev also hailed the Nakhchivan summit of Turkic Speaking Countries` heads of state, saying “important decisions were made there to develop cultural ties.”
The Azerbaijani leader said his country initiated at the summit establishment of TURKSOY Foundation and it was supported by all participants.
