AZERBAIJAN ATTENDS AUTUMN SESSION OF UNIVERSAL POSTAL UNION COUNCIL OF ADMINISTRATION IN BERN
Baku, October 29 (AzerTAc). Representatives of Azerbaijani postal administration are attending fall session of Universal Postal Union (UPU) Council of Administration in Bern (Switzerland).
According to Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, various meetings of Administrative Council and Postal Operations Council of UPU Governing Bodies will be held within the seminar.
The plenary sessions of Administrative Council will discuss final review and approval of opinions, decisions and acts discussed at the last 24th UPU Congress (Nairobi 2008). A number of issues remained open after 24th Nairobi Congress in Bern, including a number of proposals of Azerbaijan in connection with international postal operations will be discussed there.
A 2-day seminar entitled “Improving the use of banking and financial services” will be held on November 9-10.
The event will also discuss “Development of financial services” project carried out by Azerbaijani government jointly with World Bank (WB) and applied in the postal network of the republic.
The seminar will last till November 13.
