TURKISH SPEAKER GIVES DINNER PARTY TO AMBASSADORS OF TURKIC SPEAKING COUNTRIES
Ankara, 28 October (AzerTAc). Speaker of Turkey`s Grand National Assembly Mehmet Ali Shahin gave a dinner party to Turkic Speaking Countries` ambassadors and chairmen of friendship groups in the Assembly.
Azerbaijani ambassador Zakir Hashimov and chairman of friendship group with Azerbaijan in the Turkish Parliament Mustafa Kabakchi attended the dinner.
The Turkish Speaker praised current level of cooperation among Turkic speaking nations. He said Turkic speaking nations make “great” contribution to ensuring peace and stability in Eurasian region.
He also hailed economic progress of Turkic speaking countries in recent years.
Shahin said foreign trade turnover of his country with those countries made u $8 billion in 2008.
The Speaker expressed hope cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields will further develop.
Ambassadors congratulated Shahin on official holiday of Turkey – the Republic Day.
