Supreme Leader deplores disrespect to Shia sites in Saudi Arabia

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Monday deplored disrespect to Shia sites in Saudi Arabia and said that the Saudi government is expected to stop sectarian moves during the Haj pilgrimage.

Addressing a group of officials in charge of Hajj pilgrimage, the Supreme Leader said that such wicked plots which have been masterminded by the aliens’ intelligence services in order to target unity of world Muslims.

Ayatollah Khamenei regretted that sometimes respect for Shia site, Baqi cemetery in Medina, is being violated in light of negligence on part of respective Saudi officials.

Elsewhere in his speech, the Supreme Leader said that Hajj pilgrimage is an ideal opportunity which should be appreciated by all Muslims to bolster Islamic solidarity.

The Supreme Leader said that Iranian pilgrims should demonstrate their rich culture having roots in the Islamic teachings to other Muslims paying pilgrimage to Holy Mecca and Medina.

The Supreme Leader advised the pilgrims to actively take part in congregation prayers and the ritual of disavowal of infidels recommended by late Imam Khomeini.

Ayatollah Khamenei expressed indignation at the injustice to which the Muslims are exposed requiring the Islamic solidarity to deal with citing the "blood bath is some of Islamic states such as Iraq, Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan indicated that the enemies try to sow discord between Shia and Sunni Muslims to attain their sinister goals.

Those behind such savage and bloody massacre are in direct or indirect contacts with aliens, said the Supreme Leader adding that Hajj pilgrims cannot remain indifferent towards such plots in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Pakistan.

"During Hajj pilgrimage, Muslims should be vigilant and sensitive towards the ill-wishers who seek to bring down the flag of Islam which has been hoisted in Iran."

Referring to desecration of Holy Shia sites in Mecca and Medina, the Supreme Leader underlined that such immoral behaviors which have targeted unity of Muslims only serve the interests of the US and the intelligence services of aliens.

Ayatollah Khamenei advised the Saudi officials to seriously deal with such measures.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution thanked the officials in charge of Hajj pilgrimage in Iran for their invaluable services.

Leader’s representative to Hajj Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadi Reiyshahri briefed the Supreme leader of the cultural activities of Iranian delegation during Hajj ritual ceremony.

Minister of Culture and the Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini delivered a speech on blessings of Haj pilgrimage.
