IRAN, AZERBAIJAN DISCUSS YOUTH COOPERATION

Baku, 26 October (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s deputy minister of youth and sport Intigam Babayev met Monday visiting advisor to the Iranian President, head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Mehdi Mostafavi. The talks focused on the current state of and prospects for youth cooperation between the two countries.
Babayev briefed Mostafavi on the ongoing youth reforms in his country. He said establishing close relations among the youth contribute to developing future ties of countries.
He recalled a visit by Iran`s youth delegation to Baku in 2007 and Azerbaijani youth and sport minister Azad Rahimov`s trip to Iran in 2009.
For his part, Mehdi Mostafavi said his country intends to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in not only the youth, but all spheres.
He pointed out Azerbaijan`s youth policy is an example for other countries and expressed wish “to take advantage of this experience”.
Mostafavi also underlined the necessity of strengthening relations among the youth of OIC member states.
