TURKISH KICKBOXERS WIN NINE MEDALS AT WAKO KICKBOXING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
ANKARA (A.A) - 26.10.2009 - Turkish kickboxers won nine medals at the 2009 Wako Kickboxing World Championships in Villach, Austria on October 19 and 25.
Seven Turkish boxers won bronze medals during the events which were held with the participation of 607 boxers from 57 countries.
Fikri Arican of Turkey ranked second after being beaten by his Russian opponent Denis Lukaszhov in the final.
Alpay Kir of Turkey became the world champion after defeating Ghajji Karim of France.
