Man shot dead in Geelong

One man is dead and another is in hospital with a gunshot wound after a shooting in
the Victorian town of Geelong.
Police were called to a Cloverdale Drive address in Corio about 5.30pm (AEDT) on
Saturday after receiving reports of a shooting, Senior Constable Wayne Wilson told
AAP.
A man was found dead near the front door of his home, he said.
A short time later, another man arrived at Geelong Hospital with a gunshot wound,
Snr Const Wilson said.
Police believed the shootings were related.
The area around Cloverdale Drive has been cordoned off.
Homicide detectives and forensic experts had been sent to the scene, Snr Const
Wilson said.
"At this stage we're speaking to anyone in the area.
"We're still trying to establish the full circumstances surrounding the shooting or
shootings."
"We're looking at the connections between the two," Snr Const Wilson said.
