AZERBAIJANI AMBASSADOR PRESENTS HIS CREDENTIALS TO MEXICAN PRESIDENT
Baku, 23 October (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani ambassador to Mexico Ilgar Mukhtarov presented his credentials to President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa here. Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa took part at the ceremony, Embassy of Azerbaijan in Mexico said.
Amb. Mukhtarov conveyed greetings of the Azerbaijani President, noting the functioning of the Embassy will make certain contributions to bilateral relations.
Ambassador Mukhtarov highlighted Mexican President on priorities of Azerbaijan`s foreign policy, country`s economic growth, energy policy projects and the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. Speaking of the history of Azerbaijan statehood, he also stressed the necessity of developing cultural ties between the two countries.
Mexico is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector, the Mexican President said at the meeting. Expressing his interest in Azerbaijan`s energy policy, President Felipe Calderon noted the importance of expanding cooperation in all spheres.
