BAKU HOSTS NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CHILD PROTECTION REFORM
Baku, October 22 (AzerTAc). A national conference on child protection reform has kicked off in Azerbaijan`s capital as part of the Year of the Child in the country.
Marking the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the conference has been co-organized by the Azerbaijani government, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and UNICEF.
Azerbaijan`s first lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event which brings together state officials, parliamentarians and representatives of international organizations.
The first lady made a speech at the conference.
