BSEC SECRETARY GENERAL PRAISES AZERBAIJAN`s CHAIRMANSHIP
Baku, October 22 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s presidency of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, BSEC, has been hailed by Leonidas Chrysanthopoulos, the organization`s secretary general.
Chrysanthopoulos spoke to a press conference following a Baku meeting of the BSEC Council of Foreign Ministers which saw Azerbaijan`s presidency pass to Bulgaria. The secretary general said Azerbaijan`s proposals aimed at increasing the effectiveness of BSEC`s activities would be considered during Bulgaria`s chairmanship.
Chrysanthopoulos also hailed the Council of Foreign Ministers` Baku meeting.
“I believe the meeting will give impetus to boosting the organization`s activities.”
Azerbaijan`s Deputy Foreign Minister, Mahmud Mammadguliyev, said Azerbaijan is ready to share its experience with future chairs of the BSEC.
“We will host a meeting of ministers of communication and information technologies of BSEC member states during Bulgaria`s presidency next month.”
Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rumiana Jeleva, said expanding the BSEC`s relations with the European Union will be a key priority during Bulgaria`s presidency.
