AZERBAIJAN, IOM DISCUSS MIGRATION PROCESSES
Baku, October 21 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Ombudswoman Elmira Suleymanova met with the Chief of International Organization for Migration (IOM) mission in Azerbaijan Vasiliy Yuzhanin.
Suleymanova highlighted Azerbaijan`s migration policy. She said “the government has made tremendous efforts to balance migration processes in the country”.
She said the migration process is an indicator of ongoing globalization in the world.
Touching upon Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan`s Ombudswoman said Armenia had occupied 20% of Azerbaijan`s territory as a result of which more than one million of people became refugees and IDPs.
