OTTAWA TO HOST CONFERENCE ON AZERBAIJAN
Baku, October 21 (AzerTAc). An international scientific conference entitled “Azerbaijan in geopolitical context of the Caspian Sea” will be held in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, early next month.
According to Azerbaijan`s embassy, the conference agenda will include discussions on settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Turkish-Armenian rapprochement, energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and European countries and security in the region.
Speakers at the event will include Azerbaijani Ambassador to the country Farid Shafiyev, director of the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs Fen Hampson, Azerbaijan`s counselor to UN Tofig Musayev, American professor Thomas Ambrosio, Canadian expert Robert Cutler and researcher at the University of Ottawa Hashim Gafarov.
