JORDANIAN CULTURE DAYS OPEN IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, October 21 (AzerTAc). The Culture Days of Jordan have kicked off in Azerbaijan as part of a series of events Baku has been hosting through the year in the capacity of the Islamic culture capital.
During the four-day event Baku audience will have an opportunity to watch movies by Jordanian filmmakers and familiarize themselves with the country`s art and music.
Speaking to the opening ceremony, Azeri deputy minister of culture and tourism, Adalat Veliyev, said “the days will contribute to boosting the cultural relations between the two countries and bringing our peoples closer to each other”.
Jordanian Ambassador, Adel Adaileh, thanked the Azerbaijani government and people for “high hospitality shown to Jordanian people of art”.
The ambassador expressed hope the event would be a success and “play important role in deepening the cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan”.
The opening ceremony was followed by a concert and exhibition of Jordanian painters.
