MILLI MAJLIS VICE-SPEAKER MEETS DELEGATION OF UKRAINE`s SUMY PROVINCE
Baku, October 20 (AzerTAc). First vice-speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament (Milli Majlis) Ziyafat Asgarov met Tuesday visiting delegation of Ukraine`s Sumy province.
Asgarov briefed the delegation on the work of Milli Majlis, ongoing reforms in Azerbaijan and regional projects initiated by the country.
According to him, there are good opportunities for boosting relationship between the two countries. He noted numerous documents signed during reciprocal visits by the two countries` leaders created strong legal basis for expansion of multi-faceted cooperation. Asgarov also underlined “the two countries` presidents have played special role in reaching our relations the level of strategic partnership”.
Chairman of Sumy provincial council Vladimir Tokar said the visit aims to conduct exchange of views on enhancing bilateral trade, economic and cultural cooperation. Tokar added his country was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan.
He also praised the “rapid development process” underway in Azerbaijan.
Tokar pointed out an agreement on mutually beneficial cooperation between Sumy province and Azerbaijan`s Mingacevir city will be signed.
The sides stressed the necessity of intensification of reciprocal visits.
