Pakistan Senate head urges Tehran, Islamabad to fight terrorists
Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan said in Geneva that the two countries of Iran and Pakistan should undertake joint military action to combat terrorists, it is reported on Tuesday.
Farooq H. Naek made the remarks in an exclusive interview with IRNA correspondent on the sidelines of the 121st meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union that has been holding meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, since October 19.
On the terrorist attack happened in the Sistan and Balouchestan province, southeastern Iran, the Pakistani Senate chairman said his country condemns the action and sympathizes with the Iranian nation over the sad event.
The issue of terrorism is an international matter which should be uprooted through support of the world countries including the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He, later, assured Iran of making efforts to impose punishment on those who committed the crime in the Iranian province.
About Iran’s charge d’affaires, Heshmatollah Attarzadeh, kidnapped in Pakistan last November, the Senate chairman said the Iranian government will hear good news on the case by Islamabad soon.
He said Iran is a brotherly country to Pakistan and hoped bright future for Tehran-Islamabad cooperation.
