WB MANAGING DIRECTOR VISITS REGION

Baku, 19 October (AzerTAc). World Bank Managing Director Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is visiting the South Caucasus region. She will discuss with the officials and civil society activists of the regional countries - Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia, the issues of impact of global crisis on the South Caucasus, the ways out of the crisis and ensuring sustainable economic growth.
As she stated, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is going to discuss the inter-dependence aspects of the crisis, as well as investment and growth issues. At her words, only joint efforts can ensure breakthrough for development and social progress.
During her trip. Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will also visit the WB project sites in three Caucasian countries.
