More asylum seeker boats spotted
Hundreds of asylum seekers believed to be heading to Australia are reportedly in
danger.
A rescue operation has been launched to help about 270 people on board two boats,
Network Nine reports.
One boat has been reported sinking in Malaysian waters but is close enough to
Australia for authorities to consider sending a patrol boat to assist in the
operation, the network said.
The second boat of asylum seekers in distress was spotted off the coast of Indonesia.
