MORE EFFECTIVE STRATEGY SHOULD BE DEVELOPED TO SPEED UP INTEGRATION OF GUAM MEMBER NATIONS INTO EUROPE, AZERI MP
Baku, 16 October (AzerTAc). More effective strategy should be developed to speed up integration process of GUAM member countries into Europe, Azerbaijani MP and member of the country`s delegation in GUAM Parliamentary Assembly Ali Movsumov said.
According to him, Azerbaijan enjoy “successful” cooperation within EU`s Eastern Partnership program and Baltic Assembly.
Movsumov said Azerbaijan uses experience of Baltic nations to integrate into NATO and European Union.
He stated cooperation with Baltic countries makes contribution to fasten settlement of “frozen” conflicts in GUAM territories.
The Azerbaijani MP said recently a declaration on cooperation between Baltic Assembly and GUAM Assembly was signed in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The declaration intends to expand cooperation in security, political, economic and humanitarian fields.
The GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development is a regional organization of four post-Soviet states: Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova.
