SHEIKH-UL-ISLAM ALLAHSHUKUR PASHAZADE MEETS HEAD OF IRANIAN PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE
Baku, October 15 (AzerTAc). Head of the Caucasian Muslims` Board Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade has met head of the Iranian Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie.
Pashazade highly praised the relations between Azerbaijan and Iran in various fields, including the political, economic, cultural and social ones.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Pashazade praised Iran`s efforts towards finding a peaceful settlement to the conflict.
Mashaie said there are good opportunities for expanding the bilateral relations.
“We, in particular, have big potential in political, economic and cultural spheres.”
On the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute, he said Iran backs Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity, stressing “this is our strategic policy which will never change”.
