SOCAR, GASPROM SIGN AGREEMENT ON EXPORT OF AZERI GAS
Baku, October 15 (AzerTAc). President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev, and Alexey Miller, chief executive of Gazprom of Russia, signed an agreement on the export of Azeri gas to Russia, on October 14.
Opening the ceremony, Rovnag Abdullayev noted the close cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, adding that the agreement allows Azerbaijan to send its gas to a new market.
“The joint cooperation will be effective in European and Asian gas markets for both parties”, he emphasized.
Alexei Miller said the document would play an important role in strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia and give impetus to the sales and purchase relations between the companies.
