BAKU HOSTS CONGRESS AND ASSEMBLY GENERAL OF EUROPEAN FAIR PLAY MOVEMENT
The 15th Congress and Assembly General of the European Fair Play Movement today have started in Baku. The event brought together about 50 representatives from 24 countries. President of the European Fair Play Movement Carlos Goncalves and head of the European Network of Sport Science, Education & Employment (ENSSEE) Walter Tokarsk arrived in Baku.
Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Fair Play Committee, Vice President of Azerbaijan`s National Olympic Committee Khazar Isayev underlined that role of press in popularizing principles of fair play in sports will be discussed at the event.
The European Fair Play Movement was established on May 28, 1994 in Zurich. Aim of the organization is to protect principles of justice and ethic norms in sports and public life.
Azerbaijan`s Fair Play Committee was set up under National Olympic Committee in 1998.
