BAKU HOSTS 6th CONFERENCE OF OIC MEMBER STATES` CULTURE MINISTERS
Baku, October 13 (AzerTAc). The 6th Conference of culture ministers of member States of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) started today at the Gulustan Palace.
The event, which brings together more than 200 representatives from 45 countries, started with recitation of Quran verses.
Afterwards, Azerbaijan`s Deputy Premier Elchin Efandiyev read out President Ilham Aliyev` congratulatory letter.
Opening the conference, Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri thanked Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev for hospitality.
He stressed Azerbaijan makes huge contributions to dialogue of civilizations.
The round table entitled “Promotion of dialogue and cultural diversity” will discuss expansion of cultural cooperation among the member states.
