AZERI JUDO FIGHTERS CLAIM WORLD CROWN
Baku, October 12 (AzerTAc). Two Azerbaijani judo fighters have won World Cup in Baku Sports Palace.
Elkhan Rajabli weighing in at 81 kg and Elkhan Mammadov at 90 kg secured the titles after winning French Antuan Janny and Georgian Grigori Mamrikishvili respectively.
On the first day of the competition, Azeri judo fighters garnered three medals, including one gold.
Gold came from Tarlan Karimov weighing in at 66 kg, while Vugar Shirinli and Sarkhan Ahmadov won silver medals in the 60 kg and 66 kg divisions respectively.
