World experts to workshop identity fraud

World experts in identity fraud will gather on the Gold Coast on Monday for the
National Identity Crime Symposium.

The three day conference at Royal Pines resort is titled "Your identity: their
criminal passport" and will investigate the issues surrounding and affecting
identity crime.
Among the topics to be discussed are the dangers of social networking sites, such as
Facebook, insecure wireless networks, phishing threats, biometrics, card skimming
and identity restoration.
The conference will feature case studies and provide the perspectives of
international law enforcement, government agencies and global industry
organisations.
Among the speakers are Jonathan Rusch from the US Department of Justice, Romanian
police chief inspector Elvis Tudose, and Cees Schep from The Netherlands Department
of International Police Information.
