PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV ATTENDS CIS COUNCIL OF HEADS OF STATE`S REGULAR MEETING IN CHISINAU
Chisinau, October 10 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended Friday here a regular meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.

Then, the CIS Council of Heads of State had closed-door and expanded meetings.
Moldova`s acting President and Parliament Speaker Mihai Ghimpu declared an agenda of the summit.
The CIS heads of state discussed various aspects of cooperation, including enhancement of cooperation in mitigating the impact of the global financial crisis, integration in humanitarian area, and ensuring security.
They exchanged views on a draft resolution on joint measures to alleviate consequences of the global financial and economic crisis. The CIS governments agreed to continue liberalization of trade, refrain from protectionist and other measures leading to a restricted mutual access of goods to the CIS markets.
The CIS heads of state considered appointment of the head of the CIS Anti-Crisis Center, the CIS Presidency and the date and the venue of the next session of the CIS Council of the Heads of State.
Celebrations of the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in 2010 and the status of veteran organizations in CIS countries were also on focus of the summiteers.
The CIS Chisinau summit ended with the signing of several documents and the CIS chairmanship transfer from Moldova to Russia. The next summit will be held in December, 2010 in Moscow.
