CHAIRMAN OF MILLI MAJLIS COMMITTEE MEETS CUBAN DEPUTY FM
Baku, October 8 (AzerTAc). Chairman of Azerbaijan Parliament`s Standing Committee on International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary ties Samad Seyidov has met visiting Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba Dagoberto Rodriguez Barrera.
Seyidov stressed the importance of the Cuban Deputy FM`s visit, expressing hope it would contribute to deepening the “historically friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Cuba”.
Seyidov said both countries have great potential to expand political and economic relations.
The Cuban Deputy FM stressed the role of parliaments in expanding the political ties.
“We must place special importance on organizing reciprocal visits and conducting experience exchange.”
Barrera invited members of the Azerbaijani Parliament to visit Cuba.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Cuba Agshin Mehdiyev and Cuban ambassador in Baku Marcelo Caballero Torres were present at the meeting.
