AZERBAIJAN PRESS COUNCIL CHAIRMAN MEETS CoE SECRETARY GENERAL`S SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE
Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Press Council Aflatun Amashov met with special representative of Secretary General of the Council of Europe Veronika Kotek.
Amashov briefed Kotek on the activity of the Council.
He noted in accordance with one of the Organization`s missions, work is underway to regulate media-public and media-government relations. He added this work contributes to overcoming some problems that mass media face.
Veronika Kotek, in turn, said the Council of Europe supports the efforts to ensure the independent media in Azerbaijan.
The sides also discussed defamation-related issues.
