AZERI FM MEETS NEW ITALIAN AMBASSADOR
Baku, 7 October (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani minister of foreign affairs Elmar Mammadyarov today has met here with the newly appointed Italian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mario Baldi to accept a copy of his credentials.
Baldi expressed satisfaction with his appointment as an ambassador to Azerbaijan.
The ambassador praised ongoing development processes in the country.
The diplomat said ‘during his tenure he would spare no efforts to make contribution to further develop bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Italia.’
The Azerbaijani minister said the two countries have “great” potential to boost cooperation in all fields.
The meeting also discussed other issues, including priorities of Azerbaijan`s foreign policy and Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
