AZERI PARLIAMENT`S FIRST VICE-SPEAKER MEETS LITHUANIAN AGRICULTURAL MINISTER
Baku, October 7 (AzerTAc). First vice-speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament (Milli Majlis) Ziyafat Asgarov met Wednesday here Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture Kazis Starkyavichyus.
Asgarov praised the fact that a Lithuanian delegation is attending the “Caspian-Agro” International Agriculture, Food Processing and Packaging Exhibition in Baku.
He underlined the importance of organizing “such events” for mutual co-operation and exchange of experience.
According to Asgarov, the Parliament supports expansion of agricultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Lithuania.
According to him, friendly relations between Azerbaijani and Lithuanian presidents, and also the documents signed contribute to boosting bilateral cooperation.
For his part, Kazis Starkyavichyus thanked for organization of the exhibition at a high-level.
He said his country was keen on cooperation with Azerbaijan in all areas including agriculture one. Starkyavichyus also underlined there were a lot of Lithuanian businessmen in Azerbaijan, adding Lithuania is open to Azerbaijani investors, as well.
