Bahraini PM: Iranophobia policy, ineffective

Bahraini Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman al-Khalifa said in a meeting Tuesday evening in Bahrain that the Iranophobia policy is ineffective for his country.

Salman al-Khalifa made the remarks in his meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Bahrain Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

The Bahraini PM said his country respects the Islamic Republic of Iran and strives for preserving Tehran-Manama cooperation that is based on sustainable peace and stability.

He added the stability in Iran would bring tranquility to the region and rejected the claim on Iran as a threat to the Middle East.

Salman al-Khalifa appreciated Tehran’s patience on its nuclear issue and said Iran and the regional countries have right to use peaceful nuclear energy.

Later, he called for fostering bilateral cooperation with Iran that is a need for the neighboring states.

Bahrain’s premier extended his greetings to the top Iranian officials and admired Iran’s policy on adopting efficient measures to solve its nuclear issue.

He reiterated that any achievements by Iran will be honored by the regional countries.

During the meeting, the Iranian and Bahraini officials also conferred on the international, regional and bilateral issues.
