Dutch premier to visit Singapore, Japan
BRUSSELS, Oct. 6 Kyodo -
Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende will visit Singapore on Oct. 22 to 24
and Japan on Oct. 24 to 27, the Dutch government said Tuesday.
In Singapore he will meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as well as
President S.R. Nathan, and in Japan will meet with Prime Minister Yukio
Hatoyama and have an audience with Emperor Akihito.
He will also pay tribute to the Dutch soldiers who died in World War II at a
cemetery in Yokohama near Tokyo.
