Khoja opens Arab publishers conference 5 Riyadh

On the other hand, Dr Mohammed Talat, the chairman of the Arab
publishers union, underscored the importance of the conference.
He noted that the union started its activities in sixties of the last
century in line with a recommendation of an Arab League's committee
and it was re-established in 1995 for the development of the
publication industry in the Arab world.
Dr Talat said Arabic language plays a significant role as regards
linking the sons of the Arab nation.
The strength of Arabic is actually strength of the Arab nation and
the vice versa, he said.
He underlined the importance of cooperation between the publishers
and the concerned authorities notably the governmental authorities.
It is hoped that this conference will pave the way for confronting
all challenges, he added.
