AZERI TAEKWONDO FIGHTERS TO BATTLE FOR WORLD MEDALS
Baku, October 7 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan taekwondo team will compete in the world championship kicking off in Copenhagen next Wednesday.
The Azeri men`s squad includes Samir Aydinov weighing in at 54 kg, Elnur Amanov at 58 kg, Fariz Aliyev at 63 kg, Ilkin Shahbazov at 68 kg, Ramil Azizov at 84 kg, Rashad Ahmadov at 80 kg, Tevekkul Bayramov at 87kg and Vugar Mejidov at +87 kg.
In the women`s event Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on Khayala Guliyeva weighing in at 47kg, Aygul Abdullayeva at 51 kg, Arzu Baghirova at 55kg and Seungmi Li at 59kg.
The championship will bring together fighters from 140 countries.
