Russia says nuclear technology development is Iran’s right
– Secretary of Federal Russia’s Security Council General Nikolai Patroshev said Tuesday nuclear technology development and use is Iran’s legal right.
Addressing the reporters in Moscow, Patroshev said Iran definitely has the right of using and developing peaceful nuclear technology but should do this under the surveillance of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
However, he called for more transparency in Iran’s nuclear activities.
Underlining his country’s policy on Iran’s nuclear activities, Patroshev said, ”Russia is against Iran’s access to nuclear weapons.”
Responding to a question on the alleged participation of Russian Atomic scientists in Iran’s nuclear programs, Patroshev said that he is not aware of the issue.
The English Newspaper ’Sunday Times’ wrote on Sunday that Israel has been recently informed of Russian experts’ cooperation with Iran’s nuclear programs and the prime minister of the Zionist regime has presented a list of those experts to Russian officials.
The secretary of Russia Security Council said, ”I don’t know who has given this information to the English newspaper and why the paper has published the article.”
