OSCE MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS MEET MEMBERS OF BOARD OF NAGORNO-KARABAKH’S AZERBAIJANI COMMUNITY
Baku, 6 October (AzerTAc). Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassadors Yury Merzlyakov of Russia, Bernard Fassier of France and Robert Bradtke of the United States today have met here members of the Board of Nagorno-Karabakh’s Azerbaijani Community.
Merzlyakov said the meeting aimed to discuss peace settlement process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and learn views of the Azerbaijani community in this regard.
Head of the Board of Nagorno-Karabakh’s Azerbaijani Community Bayram Safarov said “it is possible to live in Nagorno-Karabakh on the basis of good neighborhood principles”.
According to him, first of all, internally displaced people (IDPs) must return home.
Other board members, including MPs Havva Mammadova, Rovshan Rzayev, vice-president of National Academy of Sciences Vagif Farzaliyev, academician Jalal Allahverdiyev, rector of Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbayly, Khojavand region governor Eyvaz Huseynov supported Safarov’s views.
They noted the status of Nagorno-Karabakh can be determined only after refugees and IDPs return back home and members of the both communities are provided with equal conditions.
