BAKU HOSTS 1ST AZERBAIJAN-GERMANY AGRO-ECONOMIC FORUM
Baku, October 6 (AzerTAc). The first Azerbaijan-Germany Agro-economic forum was held here yesterday, bringing together representatives from more than 50 companies of the two countries.
Opening the forum, German ambassador to Azerbaijan Per Stanchina stressed Azerbaijan is producing high-quality agricultural goods, and called German businessmen to invest in agricultural sector of the country.
He praised trade relations between the two countries.
Stanchina underlined “Azerbaijan has enough agricultural goods to export to Europe. A lot of work must be done to make these good to meet EU standards. We want to support development of agrarian relations with Azerbaijan.”
Speaking to the event, Azerbaijan`s deputy minister of agriculture Bahram Aliyev said “the trade turnover between the two states made up $184 million, of which $112 million belonged to agrarian sector”.
