Hosseini, Swiss minister confer

Visiting Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Seyyed Shamseddin Hosseini held talks with Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs Jean-Daniel Gerber in Ankara, Turkey, on late Monday.

The meeting took place at the sideline of the World Bank and the Annual International Monetary Fund Meetings in Ankara.

Hosseini said there are a lot of opportunities for foreigners to make investment in Iran.

Based on Article 44 of Iranian Constitution, he said, foreign countries are allowed to make investments in Iran.

He said this provides a good opportunity for Swiss companies to make investments in Iranian projects.

He added Iran’s economy plays a key role across the region and the world, stating that Iran has a lot of potentials for consolidating mutual relations in the fields of economic arenas.

Gerber, for his part, voiced his willingness to boost mutual ties with Islamic Republic of Iran.

He added Switzerland will actively participate in investment and privatization projects in Iran if necessary infrastructures were accessable in Iran.
