PAKISTANI CHAIRMAN OF JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE MEETS AZERI DEFENSE MINISTER
Baku, 5 October (AzerTAc). After visiting the tomb of the Azerbaijani nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and Alley of Martyrs, Pakistan`s Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Tariq Majid today has met here Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Colonel-General Safar Abiyev.
Abiyev said Pakistan was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Azerbaijan.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues, including current level of military and political cooperation between the two nations, and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Ambassadors of both countries were present at the meeting.
