ElBaradei says IAEA inspectors to be in Iran to visit new site

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced at a news conference Sunday in Tehran that IAEA inspectors will visit Fardo’s new nuclear enrichment plant, 50 km off the central Iranian city of Qom, on October 25.

Mohamed ElBaradei made the remarks during his joint press briefing with head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi.

The IAEA chief noted the inspection would be completely within the safeguard regulations.

About providing fuel, ElBaradei said it would be discussed in a meeting on October 19 in the presence of the Iranian, US, France and Russian nuclear officials.
